Director, Privacy Engineering (Hybrid)
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Certification / Licensure n/a Work Experience At least 7 years of experience in privacy engineering roles. At least 4 years of experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Deep understanding of global privacy regulations. In-depth technical expertise of domains such as information security, cloud infrastructure and similar areas, as well as a proven track record of developing and implementing robust privacy solutions. In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), and others. Strong understanding of security and privacy technologies, including encryption, access controls, and data masking. Experience developing pragmatic strategy and tactics for complex, high-profile matters. Experience providing guidance to senior executives and other senior leaders. Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems. Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS Certification / Licensure Certification granted by IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals):
CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist) strongly preferred; CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) or CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional).
